You can take jQuery from my cold dead hands!

The native browser API is better.

The strength of YUI 2 is it's widget set - very complete + polished, looks great, all the widgets look consistent with each other, it doesn't feel sluggish. It has the strongest widget set of any of the javascript libraries i've tried,

YUI3 doesn't have the widget set that YUI2 has, so i'm not sure why i would use it over jquery.

you can't use frameworks because serious jboss specialists use pure javascript.

“I’ve seen code you people wouldn’t believe. EJB beans crashing after been converted from Orion. I’ve watched CORBA messages fracture after being sent through an HTTP port. All those moments will be lost in time, like assembly on CP/M.”

it's serious among jboss consultants. you gatta use pure javascript. whatever that means. that way, you don't have to spend time migrating from frameworks to frameworks because jboss consultation time is precious.

use pure javascript. don't even use browser DOM libraries because there are so many browsers and each one's API is so different from others.
